Era urbana e disordine del mondo. Geografie per interpretare il presente
XXXIV Congresso Geografico Italiano
Turin, 3-5 September 2025
The XXXIV Italian Geographical Congress (Congresso Geografico Italiano, CGI) is a flagship gathering for the Italian geography community, promoted by AGeI (Associazione dei Geografi Italiani). It provides a high-level platform for knowledge exchange and critical debate on how geographical research can interpret—and help reframe—the transformations shaping contemporary territories.
Framed by the theme “Urban era and disorder of the world. Geographies to interpret the present”, the congress positions the urban as a privileged lens to read today’s intertwined crises, contradictions, and transition scenarios—without reducing attention to what lies beyond cities, but rather using geography’s plural methods to connect urban dynamics with wider territorial processes.
