In Verona, on Monday, April 22, and Tuesday, April 23, the first living lab workshop took place in the areas covered by the case studies of the PRIN PNRR 2022 project “SEW Line. Socio-Ecological Way for a holistic mobility infrastructure planning in peri-urban and rural landscapes.” This is a two-year interuniversity research project funded by the Italian Ministry, led by the Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture, and Forestry (TESAF) of the University of Padua, in collaboration with the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering (ICEA), and two other academic units, the University of Bergamo and Sapienza University of Rome. The workshop, which started in the Verona area, focused on the Verona-Vicenza High-Speed Rail segment to initiate a debate on environmental infrastructure design methods.     here, you can read the report (in italian)

On the first day, there was a site visit to two construction sites of the high-speed/high-capacity railway line under construction between Verona and Montebello. In the afternoon, a productive discussion took place between the research group and the line’s design and construction team.
