The first seminar of the PRIN 2022 PNRR SEW Line project, coordinated by the University of Padua with the participation of the University of Bergamo and Sapienza University of Rome, was held at TreviglioFIERA on February 23.
Of particular interest to representatives of institutions and local communities residing in areas heavily characterized by the presence of transport infrastructures and related transformations, the research aims to develop a holistic and replicable model for the planning and adaptation of mobility infrastructures, with particular attention to environmental protection, social well-being, and cultural integrity in peri-urban and rural areas.
Its key focuses include the integration of biodiversity, ecosystem services, and natural capital into infrastructure investments, the enhancement of scientific and operational skills at various scales, and the dissemination of knowledge on the integration of naturalistic objectives into infrastructure investments.
The project representative for the Bergamo unit is Professor Mario Paris (Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences – DISA)
