People City Transport 2024
PhD conference focused on the interaction between people, city, and transport
Prague, 14-15 November 2024
Urban mobility is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon. It is studied across a wide range of scientific disciplines, including urban planning, geography, economics, transportation, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and many others. Yet, no single field can fully capture or explain its complexity.
People – City – Transport offers a platform for the mutual presentation of research activities and for open discussion of current research plans and preliminary findings from ongoing projects. The conference brings together young scientists from around the world who examine urban mobility from multiple viewpoints. I firmly believe that this multidisciplinary approach will contribute to a deeper understanding of today’s urban mobility challenges and inspire innovative, sustainable solutions.
The People-City-Transport conference aims to strengthen the interdisciplinary approach to studying urban mobility, including behavioural, sociological, environmental and technical perspectives. The conference primarily aims to give PhD students and young researchers an opportunity to discuss their research with senior researchers and practitioners.
